Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. In the ABC sitcom Roseanne (as seen by flashback) Her mother played Jackie Harris in two of Perry's first TV roles. Perry was forbidden to start acting in front of her family until adulthood, as they feared the strain it might cause. Perry admitted that she wasn't confident in her acting during high school. However, she began performing as a means to meet new people in Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry had the opportunity to secure small TV roles in Law & Order: Criminal Intent after she graduated. Homesickness, however, brought her back to California to return, where she started performing in the stage. She and her mother starred on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she was a part of her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Anna Christie in the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry starred in nine episodes of ABC's drama The Family. Perry was also featured in the role of a political thriller Scandal with her father. In addition, she played her older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon which was which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She was cast in the role through an open audition despite being a fan of the character.
